Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree All Bosses Guide
In this article, we will introduce all the story bosses of the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion pack and provide a few recommendations for each of them.
Are you ready? Let's start!
1. Divine Beast Dancing Leon
Divine Beast Dancing Leon, the first story you will encounter in the game, is a human who wears China's traditional lion costume. However, Divine Beast Dancing Leon can be a bit challenging with its range of area damage-dealing attacks, from lightning attacks to ice attacks, and it’s difficult-to-understand movement pattern. Divine Beast Dancing Leon is located in Belurat, the Tower Settlement location, which you will encounter at the entrance of the expansion pack. To find the Belurat tower, you need to proceed northwest of the Gravesite Plain Grace. Once inside the castle, you need to slay a giant, follow the path, ignore the pestering wizard like a mosquito, and enter the boss battle area.
2. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight
Rellana, where you will engage in an old-style sword-to-sword battle (!), is one of the bosses with the most beautiful design and weapon in the game. Rellana can deal both fire and magic damage with her swords held in both hands. If we judge it according to the main game, Rellana is on Malenia level with her agility and spells. However, Rellana is not as tough as Malenia, so you can kill her in a few tries at most and get her weapon or moon spell by looting her Remembrance. You can find Rellana's castle at the Castle Ensis Grace by going west of the Gravesite Plains Grace.
3. Putrescent Knight
Attacking with both his weapon and his horse, the Putrescent Knight is one of the game's most annoying bosses. Although Putrescent Knight is an optional Remembrance boss, it is one of the ones you must kill if you want to collect all Remembrances in the game. Getting to Putrescent Knight requires a slightly complicated method, but if you want to get to him, simply follow the next steps;
- Open the Fissure Grace in the Lower Left Area of the Map
- Proceed Downstairs to Reach the Stone Coffin Fissure Grace
- Reach the Fissure Cross Grace by Following the Path
- Progress by killing the enemies you encounter and reach the Fissure Waypoint
- Go Deeper and Reach Fissure Depths
- Go Up the Stairs and Jump Down from the Horned Statue
4. Messmer, The Impaler
Messmer is one of the most challenging bosses you will encounter in the game. Messmer is an enemy that uses various attack combos and can deal high damage with each attack. For this reason, you need to observe his movement scheme, avoid his attacks, and attack when he is open. To reach Messmer, you need to reach the Shadow Keep Main Gate Grace and proceed inside the castle. Since it is extremely easy to get lost in the castle you will discover how to reach Messmer,
- Storehouse, First Floor
- Storehouse, Fourth Floor
- Storehouse, Seventh Floor
You need to find their locations. Afterwards, you can enter the Messmer battle by finding the Dark Chamber Entertainment Grace, which is the entrance to the boss battle.
5. Commander Gaius
Commander Gaius is an enemy who attacks with a spear from atop a giant boar and performs combos with gravity magic and his mount's armor. He also has an attack where he takes to the sky and hurtles at you like a meteor, like the Gaius medicine Radahn does. Commander Gaius is not a challenging enemy as he is an enemy whose attacks are easy to dodge and die after a few critical strikes. To reach Commander Gaius, you need to reach the Storehouse Back Section Grace by heading towards Bonny Village. Afterwards, you can find the Commander Gaius boss location by exploring the Shadow Keep, Back Gate Grace.
6. Scadutree Avatar
After completing the Commander Gaius battle, you can continue exploring the map and reach the Scadutree Avatar, one of the hidden bosses. Although Scadutree Avatar is one of the optional enemies of the game, it is an enemy that drops remembrance. To kill the Scadutree Avatar, you just need to learn his move scheme. The only thing you need to pay attention to is his attack form, where he rises into the sky and explodes, sending beam attacks at you. You can dodge these attacks by simply running and pressing the roll button to secure your life.
7. Metyr, Mother Of Fingers
Since Metyr is one of the hidden boss battles of the Mother of Fingers game, you must first complete Ymir's quests if you want to unlock her. To reach Metyr after finishing Ymir's quests, you need to reach the Cathedral of Manus Metyr Grace and explore the inside, kneeling in front of a throne. Afterwards, you can open the secret path and reach the Finger Ruins of the Miyr region. After reaching this area, you need to continue on your way by killing Swordhand of Night Anna, an invader, and ring the bell at the end of the road.
8. Midra, Lord Of Frenzied Flame
Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame is another enemy from whom you can obtain remembrance in the game. To reach Midra, you need to explore two illusion walls in the Midra's Library location. To reach the Midra's Library location, you need to teleport to the Manse Hall, break the illusion by attacking the canvas on the left, and reach the second floor of the Midra's Library location. Afterwards, you need to continue moving forward and kill the enemy that does not appear to be a boss. We won't include it here to avoid the surprise of what happens next, but we guarantee you'll have fun!
9. Romina, Saint Of The Bud
Romina, Saint of the Bud is the most fidgety and obnoxious-looking enemy of the game, whom you have to kill to continue the story and you can find in the Church of the Bud location. Romina, who has an easy movement scheme with two centipede tails and a spear that she swings like a sword, but has a disgusting appearance, is not an incredibly challenging enemy. To reach Romina, you must find the West Rampart, Viaduct Minor Tower, and Rauh Ancient Ruins East Grace, respectively. Afterwards, you can find the door to the boss battle by going to the Church of the Bud, Main Entrance Grace.
10. Promised Consort Radahn
Promised Consort Radahn, the last boss of the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree, is an enemy who controls gravity and terrorizes the battlefield with his poor horse, as you may remember from the main game. However, in the Elden Ring DLC pack, Radahn does not have his horse and has a different fighting style and powers. Just like in the main game, you can summon NPCs to fight against Radahn if you complete his quests. Once you defeat Radahn, you will see him get blessed by Miquella and get back on his feet. To reach Radahn, you need to follow the main quest and kill Freyja Hornsent Leda before that.
